In July 2009, the government introduced a new program called Home Value Code of Conduit or HVCC. The purpose of the HVCC is to keep the valuation of a property independent from the borrower, appraiser and anyone directly involved with your loan. As a result, Borrowers cannot order or pay the appraisal directly and no one involved in the loan process can order the appraisal themselves. Our corporate office handles ordering all appraisals. Appraisal checks can made payable to American South Lending, Inc. and sent directly to our office in Greensboro.
